About Joanna
I started dancing in Bedfordshire with Georgina. Georgina is a lovely Belly Dancer with vast experience and she gave me my inspiration and enthusiasm for the dance.
I promote Egyptian Oriental style belly dance in Nottingham and Derbyshire.
I have attended workshops with Georgina, Maria d’Silva, Tine Valois etc.
My continuing professional development includes workshops with Vivienne Radfar, Sadie from USA.
When I moved to Nottingham I decided I would like to teach belly dance to other ladies. Belly Dance is very popular in Nottingham and Derbyshire and I now teach seven regular classes each week – see my classes page .I encourage my students to perform whenever they wish to. I organise local student haflas, so they can celebrate their dance and give them a performance platform. It also provides an opportunity for other local dancers to perform their styles, and for everyone to dance to live musicians and have fun.
I teach workshops and am available for performances and demonstrations. I teach Saidi stick and veil.
